The Peewee A Devils emerged victorious in the Scarborough Youth Hockey Annual Valentine’s House League Select Tournament Feb. 10-12. Hard work and determination paid off and put the Devils into playoff action against the Parkwoods Stars. The final was a nail-biter, and remained tied 1-1 at the final buzzer. On to overtime, where in exciting 3 on 3 play, the Devils netted the winner. The Novice A Team F team were finalists at the Leitrim tournament in January. The boys went 3-0 in the round robin, only allowing 3 goals against in total. They finished first overall in the round robin, received a bye to the semis and played Ottawa East, winning a hard fought match. They were outmatched in the final by les loups des collines from Quebec.
They played hard and great as a team. I think every single player received at least one point in the tournament.

The Eganville Midget tournament was exciting! Nepean Team E lost their first and only game to Deep River, the team that won A side! It was a close game 2-3 for Deep River until the last minute when they scored one more goal on an empty net to win against Nepean Team E 2-4. That put the Nepean Team E on the “B” side.
Their second game was just as exciting, winning again Nepean Team I. They were tied at the end of the game and won in over time 3-2! Good game Nepean Team I!
The finals were against Richmond. The score was 1-0 for us until they tied it up in the last 2 mins of the last period. In the last minute of play Nepean Team E scored to win the game and Side B!
Congratulations to MBTE!

On January 13-15 the Bantam A Chiefs traveled to Bradford to participate in the Blue and Gold Bantam Roster Select Tournament. The team got off to a great start winning their first game 7-0. The boys went on to win all of their round robin games never trailing in a period! They allowed only 2 goals against and found themselves finishing atop of the pack in first place. The championship game saw them face tough competition from Carleton Place. Being up by a goal with 2:30 left on the clock, the Chiefs found themselves fighting a 5 on 3 penalty kill. Carleton Place got the tying goal but we were able to hold off the remaining Carleton Place powerplay. With less than 30 seconds on the clock, our penalty ended, and we faced over time! But the boys dug deep and with 7.4 seconds left on the clock, we drove the puck in deep into traffic. The go-ahead goal was scored giving the Chiefs the Championship. Thank you to our manager extrordinaire Annabel for organizing a great weekend, our great coaching staff for keeping the boys focused and the parents for all of their support and cheers!
Congratulations to the Bantam A Chiefs for a great weekend!

Congratulations to the Barrhaven Beasts (Atom A Team b) Consolation Champions. After a great opening game 8-4 win, they lost 5-1 to Almonte/Packenham relegating the team to the B bracket. With a win or go home attitude the boys continued to win the next 3 games, 5-0,7-2, and the finals 5-2. Bringing home GOLD. Weeks after winning silver in North Bay the boys decided winning was the only result this time around.

Congratulations to the Bantam C All-Star Aardvarks for winning the 12th Annual Holiday House League Tournament at the Bell Sensplex on December 11, 2016. After winning their first game, they lost a close match against the South Dundas Lions 2-1. Needing a big win to advance to the semi-finals, the team responded with a 6-1 victory over Kanata. Following a solid 3-1 semi-final win over another Kanata team, they faced their opening round nemesis, South Dundas, in the final. After coming back from two 1 goal deficits, Nepean forced overtime tied 2-2. Two rounds of overtime didn't settle things, but the first two Aardvarks players scored in the shootout, securing victory by a “nose”.
