Minor Midget B Team Winners at the Orillia Minor Hockey Tournament

Congratulations to the Minor Midget B Team who won the Orillia Minor Hockey Tournament on November 12th.


Nepean Raiders Major Atom B White Take Gold in the Tournoi Atome Duguay Sports

The Nepean Raiders Major Atom B White team is celebrating a successful tournament weekend after taking home gold in the Atom Duguay Sports Tournament in Hull, Quebec. Anchored by solid goaltending and tight defense, the team opened up the offensive floodgates in the round robin, only to be met by an extremely tough opponent in the semis. The Nepean Raiders persisted and managed to punch their ticket to the final match by winning the game 1-0 in overtime. After this dramatic win the boys once again found a way to win in the finals.

Congratulations to the players and staff on an exciting weekend of hockey.


Minor Atom B (Black) Finalist at King Fall Classic

Congratulations to the Minor Atom B – Black team for reaching the finals at the King Fall Classic (Nobleton). Despite a slow start, the boys rebounded strong, playing some of their best hockey so far this season. Attending family and friends could not be prouder of the team’s effort.

Major Atom A Gold Medal Champs in Mississauga

Congratulations to the Major Atom A team for being the 2017 Mississauga North Star Scotiabank Gold Medal Champions! The boys would like to thank their amazing coaching staff and their boundlessly supportive parents and family members who survived that 1-0 Final game win!

This is the second tournament win for our boys this season, all of their hard work is clearly paying off.

Nepean Raiders Minor Midget AA Win 13th Annual Capital Fall Classic

Congratulations to the Nepean Raiders on battling through injuries and winning a dramatic overtime final versus the EO Cobras.


Major Peewee B White Team Champions at the Capital Volunteer Cup

The Major Peewee B White Team took the championship at the 4th Annual Capital Volunteer Cup in Ottawa on Oct 20 to 22, 2017, going undefeated at 5-0.

Major Novice B Raiders Silver Medalists at the Capital Volunteer Cup

The Major Novice B Competitive Raiders battled to a Silver Medal at the 4th Annual Capital Volunteer Cup in Ottawa on Oct 20 to 22, 2017. The team showed great heart and determination to reach the Finals and made it a close one, against a Tier 1 team from southern Ontario.

The boys did the Nepean Raiders proud once again! Congrats! Great job to all the Coaching Staff, Managers, Trainers and parents for another successful Tournament!


Raider Major Atom B White Bring Home Silver

Despite stiff competition, the Nepean Raiders Major Atom B White team went undefeated in the round-robin at the Bradford Blue and Gold tournament this past weekend (Oct 13-15). Following an exciting overtime win in the semi-final, they brought home silver after a tough loss in the finals to a skilled Midland Centennials hockey team.

The boys and coaching staff have so much to be proud of. They held their heads proud, never gave up and displayed true sportsmanship throughout the weekend. It was a great weekend of hockey and new friendships.


Major Peewee B Black: Champions of Capital Blues Hockey Fest 2017.

Congratulations to the Major Peewee B Black team on winning the Capital Blues Hockey Fest on October 1, 2017. Throughout the tournament, players and goalies offered outstanding performances with 4 straight wins, including 2 shutouts by Ben S. and Justin D., accumulating 16 goals for and only 5 goals against. The final game was hard fought against the WC Crusaders team. The effort put forth by the Raiders Black early in the match gave a comfortable lead after the first 2 periods, and ultimately a 4-0 win. The Player of the Match was shared by all, but was awarded to Jacob P. for his outstanding performance of 2 goals. We must also highlight the excellent effort put forth by goalie Justin D. for the shutout in the Finals game. Congratulations to all the players and coaches.


Major Atom A Team are 2017 Gold Rush Champions

Congratulations to the Major Atom A team for going 6-0 in the 4th Annual Capital Gold Rush Tournament this past weekend. Thank you to our great coaching staff and to our huge cheering section who came out to support their Raiders.

Novice B Team Silver Medalists at Mary Parkinson Memorial Tournament

The Nepean Raiders Major Novice B team proudly brought home Silver medals and a Finalist Cup at the Mary Parkinson Memorial "A" Tournament in Richmond Hill (Sept. 15-17). They were the class of their entire group, finishing first overall, and winning 5 games in a row, til they were defeated by a time clock at the end of regulation in the Championship game.

Having played only one game together going into the weekend, the Novice B team showed great passion and desire and were excellent sports till the end. They did Nepean proud!


Minor Atom B White Team Golden in Kitchener

The Nepean Minor Atom B White team brought home gold this weekend ( Sept 8-10th) at the Kitchener Early Bird Tournament. They played teams from Orillia, Guleph and Cinncinati by winning all three games they advanced to the finals to win 5-1.

The team demonstrated great sportsmanship, leadership and were fabulous ambassadors representing Nepean Minor Hockey!


Nepean Raiders Minor Atom White Win CanAm Challenge Cup Montreal

The Minor Atom Nepean Raiders White team traded passion for glory and returned to their winning ways at the 2017 CanAm Challenge Cup in Montreal last weekend. Following a disappointing effort in their last tournament, the boys from Nepean played with heart and discipline, ultimately claiming the Atom Houle Division title.

Undeterred by the prospect of playing against year-older (major) Atom teams, the Raiders fought their way to the tournament final against the Cornwall Colts. Showing poise and patience, the Raiders battled back from two Cornwall leads, before pulling away with three third period tallies. An empty net goal ensured the victory with less than a minute to play.

Foreshadowing the result of the gold medal game, the Raiders dominated the skills competition earlier, nearly sweeping all the events. The boys ended up winning the team relay race and best goaltender events, while finishing as first runner-up in the shootout event. Great individual efforts by all involved!

Nepean Raiders Minor Atom B Black Win Silver at Bell Capital Cup

Nepean Raiders Minor Atom B Black finished 2016 with a fantastic showing at the 18th Annual Bell Capital Cup.

The boys played 7 games in 3 days, only giving up 6 goals overall and finishing with a 4-2-1 record. The team played with pride losing 1-0 to an evenly skilled Stittsville Rams at Canadian Tire Centre on New Year's Eve.

Congratulations to the boys, staff and the parents on another successful tournament.


Nepean Major Atom AA Hockey Team 2017 Bell Capital Cup AAA Hockey Tournament Championship Finalists

Congratulations to the Nepean Raiders Major Atom AA Hockey Team for beating out 14 other Teams to earn their chance to compete in the 2017 Bell Capital Cup AAA Hockey Tournament Championship Game at the Canadian Tire Centre. Although a valiant Team effort, we fell short by a score of 4-3 to the victors, New Jersey Jr. Titans 06 AAA Hockey Team. Our boys played like Champions and the coaching staff and parents are truly proud of each Player. Well Played Boys! The experience gained in past competition prepares us for tomorrow's challenges...

We are ONE!


Nepean Major Atom B (White) win Silverat the Bell Capital Cup

Congratulations to the Major Atom B (White) Team on being Finalists and winning Silver in the Major Atom A Division of the Bell Capital Cup.

Throughout the 17 team tournament, our players and goalies worked extremely hard.

The team finished the round robin with 3 wins and 1 loss (5th overall).

On the final day of the tournament, the team started with a Quarter final game that went into the third overtime before winning 1-0 to advance to the semi-final, which they won 3-0. The final was played at the Canadian Tire Centre and although the team gave it everything they had, they lost to MTK.

Major Peewee AA team Victorious at Paul Coffey Tournament

Congratulations goes out to the Major Peewee AA team for winning the Paul Coffey Tournament in Mississauga! The boys went undefeated through 5 games, none harder than their final game against a very tough London JR Knights team. That is back to back tournament championships for the Raiders! Keep it going boys!


Minor Atom B Black Team Champions at the Oshawa Hockeyfest

Congratulations to the Minor Atom B Black team on winning their second tournament of the season at the 12th Annual Oshawa Hockeyfest on December 11th. The boys fought hard to come home undefeated with five straight wins and only four goals against in the entire tournament. A combination of endurance, beautiful passing and amazing goal-tending made for some very impressive hockey.

Nepean Minor Atom A Team Wins Gold in Guelph

Congratulations to the Nepean Minor Atom A team for bringing home gold in the 45th annual Guelph PowerPlay tournament. While the team finished the round robin play 4-0 the competition heightened in the final game. Finishing the first period with a 2-goal deficit the boys worked hard scoring 1 goal in the second period and 4 goals in the third period finishing with a 5-3 win!

Nepean Raiders (Minor Atom White) Win Capital Mid-Season Showdown!

The boys on the Raiders Minor Atom White team won their second tournament of the season - seizing the gold medals in the 12th Annual Capital Mid-Season Showdown. Spectacular goals, tight defensive play and hot goaltending were on full display all weekend as the Raiders fought hard to claim the championship title.

The boys started slowly but managed to finish the round-robin in the 4th seed spot. They were challenged to pick up their play in the elimination round, where they defeated two previously unbeaten teams: the Willowdale Blackhawks in the semifinals and the Hamilton Huskies in the finals.

Congratulations to all the boys, coaches and especially the families who came out on the weekend to support their winning Raiders!

Minor Peewee B Black Champions of Rochester Thanksgiving Classic

Congratulations to the Minor Peewee B Black team on winning the Rochester Thanksgiving Classic in Rochester, NY on November 27, 2016. Throughout the 8-team tournament, players and goalies offered outstanding performances with 5 straight wins, including 3 shutouts, accumulating 27 goals for and only 4 goals against. The semi-final shutout (4-0), made possible by the player of the match, goalie William W, led to the Championship game. The final game was hard fought against the Nepean Raiders White team. The effort put forth by the Raiders Black early in the match gave a comfortable 3-0 lead after the first period, and ultimately a 4-1 win. The Player of the Match was shared by all, but more specifically by Marshal N - D, Liam C - LW and Justin D - G for their outstanding performance. Congratulations to all the players and coaches.


Major Peewee AA win Capital Fall Classic Tournament

The Nepean Raiders Major Peewee AA team had a very successful weekend at the Capital Fall Classic Tournament hosted at the Bell Sensplex. The boys went undefeated in the tournament, posting a 3-0-1 record in the round-robin, along with two shutout victories in the semi and final games. Congratulations to the Raiders on a complete team effort!


Major PeeWee B WHITE – 2016 Kingston Champs

Congratulations to the Nepean Raiders – Major PeeWee B WHITE for bringing home Gold as the 2016 Kingston Canadians Tournament CHAMPS. With a solid 5-0-1 record, the boys found their stride early in the tournament and never looked back. Nice all around effort by the boys.


Major Atom A Wins Scotiabank Cup AA Tournament

Congratulations to the Nepean Raiders Major Atom A Hockey Team for reaching their 2nd straight tournament final, this time being victorious in this year’s Scotiabank Cup Major Atom AA Tournament in Mississauga.

Each player displayed a great Team effort and received outstanding goaltending performances from both goaltenders.

The coaching staff is extremely proud for their hard work, dedication and team play.

We would especially like to thank all the parents and families for their continued support.

NEPEAN RAIDERS WIN Bantam AA Mississauga North Stars Scotiabank Cup

In a thrilling 3-on-3 overtime win, Nepean Raiders Bantam AA team captured the Scotiabank Cup over the host team, Mississauga North Stars. The Raiders shut out the Stoney Creek Warriors in the semi-final and battled with the Mississauga North Stars through 3 periods and 5 minutes of OT before scoring the winning goal. Congratulations to the players and the coaching staff on a well played and successful tournament!


Major Atom AA Hockey Team Finalists at the 2016 Jr. Canadians AAA Hockey Tournament

The Nepean Raiders Major Atom AA Hockey Team competed against some of the top ranked Major Atom AAA Hockey Teams at this year’s Jr. Canadians AAA Hockey Tournament and eventually lost in double overtime in the Championship Game. This tournament was a great success for our Team, allowed our Players to see how good we can be and although we fell short, our Players came home with their heads held up high. The Team played with tremendous heart and skill, making their Parents and Coaches very proud. Champions don’t always win Championships, but always play like Champions shift on and shift off…Well played boys!


Minor Atom B Black Team Victorious in Sudbury 80's Tournament

The Minor Atom B Black Raiders were victorious in the Sudbury 80's Tournament. After going undefeated in the round robin, the boys faced a tough opponent in the East Gwillambury Eagles. The championship game was back-and-forth, with teams trading scoring chances through the first 2 periods. The boys played hard, with the forwards putting on a passing clinic, the defence controlling the zone, and our goaltender showed off his hot glove. With 7 minutes remaining in the 3rd, the Raiders broke the stalemate, and held on for the win.

Nepean Raiders Minor Atom B White Wins in Peterborough!

The Minor Atom B White Raiders played and won their first tournament of the season in Peterborough. Relying on hard work, timely scoring and rock-solid goaltending, the Raiders seized the gold and returned home as Peterborough A Thanksgiving Tournament Champions.

The boys played better as the tournament wore on, going 4-0 during the round-robin, eventually earning a finals berth against the rival Stittsville Rams. The Raiders trailed early in the final, but rallied to pull even before scoring on the power-play to secure the 2-1 come-from-behind win.
