Tentative Tryout Start Dates for 2012

These dates are posted only to provide NMHA players and parents tentative start times for planning family vacations, hockey camps etc.

The dates will be confirmed in June 2012 when the recieves its 2012-2013 ice allocation from the the City.

• August 18, 2012 - Major Atom AA/A, Minor Peewee AA/A, Major Peewee AA/A (2002, 2001, 2000 birth years).
• August 25, 2012 - Minor Bantam AA, Major Bantam AA, Minor Midget AA (1999, 1998, 1997 birth years).
• August 31, 2012 - Minor Atom A/B (2003 birth year).
• September 15, 2012 - Major Midget AA (1995, 1996 birth years).

Orangeville Early Bird Tournament Champions

The NMHA Minor Bantam AA team win their first tournament of the season in the Orangeville Early Bird Tournament played this past weekend, Sep 23 to 25, 2011.

Congratulations to all the boys, Dawson, Braden, Brendan, Jake, Nick, Tiegan, Justin, Dylan, Michael, Mackenzie, Justin T, Vikram, Carter, Drew, Cameron, Ryan, and Tristan.

Richmond Hill Victory

Free Bauer Hockey Helmets From Chevrolet for 5 Year Olds

Child must be registered in a Canadian Minor Hockey League such as the NMHA.

CHEVROLET Canada has just announced a new program where they will provide a FREE BAUER HOCKEY HELMET for all 5 year old children registered in a Canadian minor hockey league. Helmet Regulation

The ODMHA, our Branch governing body, adopted Regulation 13 in 1999 for all people on ice during practice.

Approved helmets are mandatory!

Coaches, assistant coaches, trainers, managers, and any parent volunteers must wear a CSA-approved hockey helmet and it must be fastened correctly. There are no exceptions to this rule.

• First Offence - Any on-ice participant found to be in violation of this regulation will be given a warning by a person in authority. This warning may be verbal or written, and shall be reported to the District Chairperson.
• Second Offence - An automatic suspension from all hockey activities until a formal hearing is held by the District’s Discipline and Appeals Committee.
• Third Offence - An automatic suspension from all hockey activities until a formal hearing is held by the ODMHA Discipline and Appeals Committee.

NMHA Office Hours

The NMHA hockey office will be open Wednesday August 10, 2011 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

There are still several spots left in the house league conditioning camp and power skating clinic.

Also, we still have a few registration spots open. Juvenile registration will take place August 10th as well.

House League Photographer

The NMHA is accepting bids for a House league Photographer for the 2011-2012 season. The House league photographer would be responsible for approximately 135-140 teams. We are looking for a professional photographer who is available to organize team photos , individual player photos as well provide sponsor plaques.

Please submit bids not later than July 18th to Nikki Lothian.

Interviews will begin the week of July 25th.
