The Major Bantam AA team did an outstanding job and did the NMHA very proud with the work they accomplished going door to door in the Half Moon Bay area for the Barrhaven Food Cupboard. The coaching staff and parents are very proud of the young men that volunteered their Friday evening for such a great cause. They were very courteous and polite young men who were very appreciative at every home they visited.

Hats off to the boys, great job! From left to right: Ben, Jacob, Dylan, Kevin, Alex, Nolan, Matt A, Nick

Nepean Raiders and Ottawa Sting Work Together for the Food Bank

They may be rivals on the ice but off the ice the Nepean Raiders and Ottawa Sting worked together on November 8, 2011 to collect hundreds of non-perishable food items for the food bank. The boys along with family and friends in attendance at the game all donated to the cause.

This group of Minor PeeWee boys realize the importance of giving back to their community and would like to encourage all the PeeWee teams to start their own Food Drive collections.

The NMHA will continue their food drive throughout the month of November until Christmas. All donations are welcome at the hockey office.

The NMHA is hoping other teams will try to match the Minor Peewee A team with donations. We are very proud of our boys! The food bank is in great need and asks especially for Peanut Butter and Cereal. As we all know the price of Peanut Butter is expected to double or triple very soon.
